Traci’s professional trajectory into college admissions counseling reflects a non-traditional yet deeply intentional path shaped by diverse academic and professional experiences. After exploring multiple fields of study, she elected to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an International concentration, integrating her interests in travel, culture, and global enterprise. Her academic experience included a period of study in Sevilla, Spain, where immersion in a different cultural and educational environment inspired her commitment to ensuring that all students have equitable access to transformative educational opportunities abroad.
Following her undergraduate studies, Traci briefly worked in technology advertising during the dot-com boom before choosing to pursue a more student-centered career in education. Faced with the decision between a financially rewarding position in educational software sales and a counseling role at an underserved high school, she chose the latter—prioritizing direct student impact. In that capacity, she led the college and career department, designing and implementing a weekly advisory program that supported students in exploring and preparing for postsecondary pathways.
After several years in counseling, Traci paused her full-time professional work to raise her three children and contribute to the development of her husband’s startup. Nevertheless, she remained active in mentoring students, particularly those who had previously believed that higher education was unattainable.
Traci holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Counseling from St. Mary’s College of California. Her graduate research examined adolescent anxiety in relation to the college admission process, a focus that continues to inform her student-centered and wellness-oriented counseling philosophy. She also holds multiple professional certificates in college admissions counseling from accredited institutions across the United States.
“When a student can see a glimpse into their future, there’s nothing more rewarding. I love helping students see their potential and expanding their horizons in a way they didn’t always think was possible. Walking with them on this journey is my passion. If I can demystify this process for even one student, then I’ve made a difference.”
